Week 10

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished Playing the C major scale on both the left and right hand, separately.
This week I discovered/learned that scales will speed up the learning process tremendously.
Problems/issues that came up this week were my hunger slowing me down.
Next Wednesday I am going to make sure I am fed before class to ensure progress.

Week 3

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished getting my blog fixed and resubmitted to Ms. B.
This week I discovered/learned how to set up a working blog
Problems/issues that came up this week were the blog not sending correctly so it didn't get to Ms. B.
Next Wednesday I am going to Learn where middle C is on the piano.

Week 9

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished learning measures 11-15 of Traverse town on the right hand.
This week I discovered/learned that Leah has perfect pitch. She is able to listen to a song and play it back on an instrument.
Problems/issues that came up this week were Leah forgot her sax at home so she couldn't play the music on it.
Next Wednesday I am going to learn measures 16-20 of Traverse Town on the right hand.

Week 8

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished learning the second five measures of Traverse town on the right hand.
This week I discovered/learned that locking the door to the practice room does not keep people from interrupting practice.
Problems/issues that came up this week were kids walking in and out of the room and interrupting our practice.
Next Wednesday I am going to learn measures 11-15 of Traverse town on the right hand.

Week 7

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished learning the first ten measures of Traverse town on the right hand.
This week I discovered/learned that trying to learn piano without a beginner's book is harder than it seems.
Problems/issues that came up this week were Hunter forgot to take his medicine this morning so he couldn't concentrate.
Next Wednesday I am going to learn the second five measures of Traverse town on the right hand.

Week 6

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished learning the first five measures of both the left and right hand parts to Traverse Town. This week I discovered/learned that base clef's B is where treble clef's G is. Problems/issues that came up this week were that I wasn't used to separating the movements of my hands, so I had to keep looking at the music and slowing down. Next Wednesday I am going to work on learning all the notes of the base clef.

week 5

This Wednesday, in class, I accomplished obtaining a music book that can teach me the positions of the base clef notes.

This week I discovered/learned that I can play the right hand part for any piece of piano music by moving the notes up one and removing two flats.

Problems/issues that came up this week were that Garret kept knocking on the door with no intent at all, distracting Hunter and I from our work.

Next Wednesday I am going to start learning the first five measures of the left hand part to Traverse town.

week 1

This week hunter and I figured out that our project will not work and we need a new one.
I learned that it isn't easy to find a specific piece of music.
problems this week were that we needed a new topic.
We wanted to learn a new song that no one else knew.

Week 2

This week Hunter and I made little headway.
This week I learned the base clef note positions are simply two higher than treble clef.
Kevin started teaching and ended up playing his own song.
I will work on learning the first five measures of hikari.

Changing ideas

1.The people in my group are Hunter and I. Kevin Macklin is supposed to be teaching us.
2.We are attempting to learn enough piano to play two songs: Hikari and Dearly Beloved.
3.We will run through as muck of the song as we know, then we work on the next measure.
4.Because the only other instrument I want to learn is base guitar, but I'm left handed. Hunter didn't have any other ideas.
